VIGILANCE ORGANIZATION PRODUCED CHALLAN AGAINST OFFICIAL IN PHE DIV | KNO

Vigilance Organization Kashmir produced a Charge Sheet (Challan) before the Anti-Corruption Court, Baramulla in case FIR 17/2009 u/s 5(1)c, (d) r/w 5(2) P.C Act Svt. 2006 and Section 120-B, 409, 467,468,471 RPC of P/S VOK against Eight (08) accused persons including Three (03) Government officials.

The brief facts of the case are that Vigilance Organization Kashmir registered a case on the outcome of a Joint Surprise Check conducted into the allegations of misappropriation of temporary advance to the tune of Rs 22,10,000/- in the year 2007 by Abdul Karim Dagga, the then Executive Engineer PHE Div. Handwara in league with  Mohammad Muzafar Khan the then Junior Engineer PHE Handwara and  Showkat Hussain Pir, the then Junior Engineer, Handwara under a well knit criminal conspiracy and had dishonestly and fraudulently submitted requisitions amounting to Rs. 10,10,000/- and  Rs. 12,00,000/- respectively and released an amount of Rs.22,10,000/- as temporary advance in their  favour, VoK spokesman said Valley Media Service in a statement.

The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved and for launching prosecution against the accused, the Challan of the case has been produced today before the Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Baramulla Kashmir. (VMS)
